Ice Crystals 4

Crazy cold this year (Jan 2014). Lots of crystal growth. One of the coldest winters on record. Low at
weather station on the roof of the house was – 26 deg F. Here is the temperatures for this particular January.
For the months of Dec, Jan, and Feb, most days (on average about 20 of the 30 days each month) went
below 0 deg F, and approximately 20 days during that 3 month period, it hit -15 deg F
Most windows had crystals on them and each provided different backlighting. On some,
crystals would grow at night, would pause during the day, or partially melt off from the sun,
and then re-grow more the next night.
